|
|
First of all - I'll echo everyone else and say what a great program this is. It's been very helpful!
Here is the only issue I'm having, and I need to know if it's something I'm doing wrong.
I created my first report that uses the batch function (only one parameter). The name of the parameter is the email address I want it sent to, so when I export the report it batches through 8 email addresses and sends 8 emails with different attachments for each. When I manually export the report it runs great, but when I set it up on a schedule, it doesn't run.
I have other reports that don't batch, and they run on the schedule just fine. Is there some restriction with using batch as a parameter and having the report on a schedule?
I also took the trouble report and changed it from batch to one of the parameter entries. I then put it on a schedule and it exported / emailed fine, so I know the report is good.
Thanks for your time! |

I upgraded to the newest version - and saw the 'process log' section. Here is the error it generates when [batch] is chosen:

When I manually export the report it runs great
Just to clarify, batch for this report does work for you in manual mode but fails in auto mode? |

| That's correct. If I choose the report in Crystal Delivery and click Export, it exports all 7 times and emails correctly. However, in automatic mode I get the error above. |

| Try version 7.0.6.0 to see if it corrects this problem. |

I upgraded to 7.0.6.0 and had the same problem.
I even removed the report and set it back up in case it was dependent on a setting. |

| I create a dummy report that contained a parameter with two email address as values. I used [BATCH] for the parameter value and [PV:2] dynamic text value in the To: field of the email. The report was emailed in both manual and auto mode. This test was done in version 7.0.6.1. See if that makes a difference. |
